His passion for the chamber music and his interest in helping young musicians pushed Salvatore Accardo in creating in Cremona together with Bruno Giuranna alto, Rocco Filippini cello and Franco Petracchi double bass a finishing school for strings: the Accademia Walter Stauffer, founded in 1986, where very talented young musicians are admitted for free and can develop their talents.

The musicians of the Orchestra da Camera Italiana – unique case in the musical world – are all from the same school and achieve an uncommon unity of expressiveness, style and technique .
