Salvatore Accardo, violin
Sergey Smbatyan, Conductor
European Foundation for Support of Culture with cooperation Malta Philharmonic Orchestra proudly presents the 6th Malta International Music Festival will take place in Valletta between 15th April and 1st May, featuring highly acclaimed world-famous musicians.
Salvatore Accardo performs Felix Mendelssohn’s romantic violin concerto, in an orchestral concert which also include Mendelssohn’s Italian Symphony with an orchestra under the direction of Armenian conductor Sergey Smbatyan.
His playing is characterized by a taut, visceral tone and a disciplined musical approach that avoids self-indulgence. Having also established himself as a successful conductor, chamber musician, and teacher, Accardo may be considered one of the most accomplished and influential musicians of his generation.
